help neede

Hi All I am new to the site so bear with me. Simply looking for some advice about fishing the tidal part of the Tavy in Devon around early June. I am on holiday and able to chuck a rod into the section at lopwell valley. Any ideas what best for a chance of a fish, I do not have sea gear but some carp tackle and heavy feeder gear. What can I expect, what baits are likely to score??????????
