The reason why the boxes with the foam disks are best is you can store longers lengths for waggler fishing with no kinks.

Not sure on the length of the MAP one.I might be wrong because I"ve not seen one in the flesh, but the only problem I can see with the MAP one, is that longer lengths need to be wrapped around the narrow pins - doesn't that create a kink in the line? I tried this out yesterday, using a £7.00 6" Drennan hook box, wrapping a long hook length a few times around the pins, and the line was kinked after just one night.
The Preston one has rounded ends of about 1cm diameter, so the 12" and 15" lengths have no kink. I bought that one.

would appear to offer an alternative method of storing longer hooklengths without kinking the line.
