Our kid says if you can't do 110 yards with easy, with a 1.75 TC rod, 8lb lineand3oz maggot feeder, you need to go back to casting school.

The problem with fishing a feeder over 80 yards range is that itis difficult to fishaccurately in windy conditions.

I don't use nylon leaders when using braid butI would usepowergum as a shock absorber for playing fish if using braid in conjunction with light hooklinks and small hooks.

As well as being very reliable and toughMaxima has a lot of stretch which means it is less likely to crack off than modern low diameter monos and6lb maxima usually breaks around 7.5lb.

warren or andy

do you ever use small swivels on the powergum rig instead of the rings.or would swivels cut the powergum to easy.have you tried swivels and run into any problems.
