I've had these at least three years now, so I think I can give my findings, firstly I wear these for most of my fishing, summer and winter, I find them very comfortable, in summer I just wear an ordinary pair of socks though if very cold in winter I wear a pair of marino socks instead, they are pretty good waterproof wise too and this morning I've handwashed them and treated them to a Grangers spray as I read it helps to do this every six months or so, the soles show no sign of wear which when you think how much walking over stones and rough ground is excellent, I would recommend them and if I remember correctly they were around the £70 mark from Sports Direct so not a massive amount really...
