I was speaking to a fishing mate the other night, on the eve of another clean up party that was organised for the following day. He said something which I thought might bear a bit of truth to it.
He said that he honestly believes that the cause of most rubbish on club waters, is because of the introduction of these bagging pools.
Okay, you could say rubbish was as bad before the bagging pools arrived, but think of this -:
On one of these bagging pools, all the angler does it turn up and fish, then he goes home. Any rubbish is picked up for him by a paid attendant. So is this what the angler expects on any water he goes on? Wait for it???????.This bailiff watched an angler remove a load of tangled line from around his spool, and put it on the floor beside him.
He tackled this bloke about what he had just seen him do, and asked why didn?t he put it in his bag and take it home?
The reply was, the bloody bailiffs can pick it up, and that?s what we pay them for. (Card in pocket, see you down H.Q.)
I don?t know of any club bailiffs that get paid, it is purely voluntary. Can you believe the $$$$$$$$$$$ attitude and mentality of some people?
