Apparently a 22lb barbel has been landed within the last few days. Yet to discover where. The barbel forum is awash with intrigue, as the location is being kept a closely guarded secret. This was true of the previous record, although it was an open secret that it was somewhere on the Rother.

Great catch! That's where I caught my first barbel from, about 45 years ago. Then the weir was wooden, now replaced with a concrete sill.
