I have two of these but one has been damaged - so I need another one , not least so I can use the spare spools.

If a 5000E is looking for a new home then look no further.

You would have to prise mine from my cold, dead hands. But best of luck John. They are hard to find these days. My mate in Linc's does car boots and a bit of tackle mongering. I will ask him to keep an eye out.

Edit: there is a pair on gumtree in Manchester. Not expensive either.

Thanks . I am stalking Ebay at the moment . I hadn't realised that they were sought after- I thought it was just an obsolete model .

I'm pretty sure that the 5000 GTE shares the same spools as the RE. It is visibly identical and only differs in having an extra bearing.

I thought the two for £80 in Manchester were bargains when you look at some of the ones for sale.
