We had one at Marsh Farm where it was scorchio. If the LIF was the coldest then that day at March Farm must have been the hottest. Almost everyone had left by early afternoon.

If you are going to Boddington;
If you are a pleasure angler seeking a quiet but productive mid-week venue or a match angler looking for a winning bag of 100lbs to 150lbs where every angler is virtually guaranteed to weigh in with 70lbs and the match record currently stands at an incredible 650lbs – Boddington Reservoir between Southam and Banbury is the place for you!
I have a set of scales going to 100 kg that you can borrow.

If you insist on going to Damn Flask I'll send my postal scales. They go up to 100 grams.

I remember fishing through a biblical tempest at Marsh Farm courtesy of Windy. I’ve fallen in and been drier.
That was the first time I'd met him. He arrived late as usual, set up in the swim next to me, and the heavens opened up..........................

Is it worth resurecting this thread , ?
How much interest would there be.?
Some good venues mentioned ,sound fairly central to most .

I would be interested provided it didn’t clash with some trips I have arranged.

Looks like only us two interested Ray.
His friends had already had memorial match , good turnout and some travelled a bit of a distance .
His other club Tring Anglers also had a match and raised money for charity .And some members turned up for his friends match and one came 2nd off the peg that has a memorial plaque to him .

It's not that I'm not interested, but the logistics are hard with us dispersed all round the country.

Understandable for a one day event Kev. I am fishing with a few friends the week after next. We live all over the place; London (Me), Devon, Cornwall, Manchester and Hertfordshire. All to go to Highley in Shropshire, it’s a 400 mile round trip for me, more for some of the others, but we are making a week of it. I wouldn’t do it for a day either.

I have a trip planned to the LIF in November for a day organised by somebody on the committee of my club, which is a day trip but I love it down on the Itchen, it makes for a bloody long day though. I’m toying with making it two days, I’m just waiting for the right time to break it to the missus.
