Three from today's dog walk and one from yesterday's dog walk. I converted the files to monochrome.

Not AI, more IR. I converted some photos from today's dog walk into black & white then used a digital filter to give them the appearance of having been taken on infra-red film.

The nearby old barn and cow shed had enough colour to make it interesting in its own right.

Today's dog walk was at a nearby village. I took a few photos and converted them to black & white when I got home. The first one has an Infra Red effect added.

There is a tiny cafe come second hand shop, a Brocante, where a young Irish woman makes and serves the most delicious gateaux and the best coffee around.

That wouldn't have tasted as good in black and white.

I've been researching the Neolithic sites around where we live. It seems that there are more here than anywhere else in France except Brittany. I'm fascinated how the primitive people located, moved and built with these huge granite stones. In their day they would have been under a mound of earth with just one entrance. To think that they have survived three to five thousand years is incredible.

The fourth image is of what the French call a 'Chaos' where large rounded stones have been displaced by glacial activity. These stones have a legend attached to do with Fairies.

I used to have a small library of negatives containing cloud shots similar to the above photo (without the tree on the left) which I could add to photos in the darkroom if one of my photos had too plain a sky.

I've been trying out an adapter that allows me to use the Zeiss manual focus lenses that would have cost a King's ransom in the sixties with modern digital cameras. The lens that I used would have cost the equivalent of over two grand of today's money in 1963 when it was introduced.

I put an old Zeiss 35mm lens on the digital camera for this afternoon's dog walk to the water wheel..........

Then after her obligatory swim in the River Vienne our little terrori-er decided that she wanted to continue through an old farm yard on the return leg......

Just received two films back from the processors.

Lac Mas Chaban & Mist LSF RTS.jpg

Eary morning at Lac Mas Chaban. I'll be there or on the neighbouring lake tomorrow if the roofer doesn't turn up. Otherwise on Saturday.

The River Glane near to where we live. I usually fish it with a 6 foot 'River Don Special' quiver rod and worm bait. I call it 'Fishing in Lilliput'

Pigeonaire 2 35D.jpg

A 16th century Pigeonier Royale where over 500 carrier pigeons plus horses and riders were stationed as part of the King's message service. It is half-way to the coast and we stop off there for a cuppa when going that way.
