Graham,

I haven't seen any e-mails recently and I am certainly not ignoring you ;-0)

Try the ExpatPJ@aol.com address.

The idea behind a contract phone was to see if the lad could handle the responsibility - seemingly he got a bit carried away with it, so its "grounded" for a few weeks and then we'll try again.

Dave,

You have a one track mind - anyway, I've never paid for it, and certainly won't start now :-0)

Les,

I do have plans for a lot more fishing next season as I will be changing my schedule in the office - hopefully.

I'm off to Paris at the end of next week - should I pack the thermals?

Lots of sound advice on this thread.
We all have one crack at life on this earth, and realising my next birthday will be the same age as my dad when he died really brings it home.

I'm definitely going to slow down(except if someone else is trying to nick my favourite swims).

Kevin,

So far this year the weather here has been absolutely foul! Cold winds, sleet and lots of rain as well.

Today, the sun is actually shining and it is a little warmer - typically the early morning temps have been around 1 or 2 degrees celcuis and not much better by lunchtime.

Are you going for business or pleasure Kevin?

Thanks Peter

Pleasure trip, it's my wife's birthday - one of those special ones, so we're travelling by Eurostar (1st class - of course!) and staying on Boulevard de la Madelaine

Looks like I'll be taking the Barbour!

Celibacy?

Frequent low-life bars?

I've always found that airports are a good place to pick up . . . . ops, won't go there, the wife may look in :-0

Kevin,

Smart move.

Word of caution on the Euro Star - only drink the Bordeau, their other wines are Krap!

Try to keep the good lady out of the Louis Voitton store on the Champs - the cheapest item in there is ?150 (its a key ring:)and you have to damn well queue to get in there.

Also, remember Paris is virtually closed on a Sunday apart from the museums and a few cafes and restaurants, but they only open around 12 noon.

Thanks again, on the map of Paris that I have the Champs Elysees has vanished under a crease in the paper, so we won't be going there - I hope!

Might accidentally stumble into a tackle shop in the hope of picking up a few (cheaper) Mepps spinners though.......
