Whats the problem having a 3 piece rod left set up. I have No problem having mine left set up

I've got a Drennan tench float 3pce, always left set up in a pouch, no problem.

To answer the original question, the Drennan tench Float is well worth a shout. I'd set it up with a 3000 or 4000 size reel. Maybe a GTM or stradic or one of the shimano match reels?

Tench set-up?

I still use the original Drennan 12'9" Tench Rod coupled to a Shimano Stradic GTM 3000 for float work.

For a lead or feeder set-up I have a pair of Harrison 12 feet 2 piece rods which I use with the Stradics again.

I did have a rod made for boat fishing; a stepped-up Avon, Harrison blank, 11 feet 1lb 6oz T/C for Blenheim but unfortunately couldn't make the day due to illness. Dammitt!
