" What do you call the North" ...... No Yorkshire rivers Swale or Ure in your list or any further North, plenty of doubles if you work for them.
Although more midland the northern rivers were the dove, derwent, Trent, soar, nene, wavon.
The southern rivers were lea, Colne, a nameless tributary, kennet, loddon, st pats, Thames and the Hampshire Avon.
Although the northern leg isn't as far north as some of the Yorkshire rivers what we have to watch is the mileage, last year was over 1200 miles this year by leaving off the ribble goyt and kent stour we managed well over 850miles, petrol costs a small fortune these days and the challenge is very exhausting for anyone driving so when I planned it, I used rivers I knew we could get to with relative ease.
