I hope this isn't supposed to be taken too seriously. I could do with a few pointers on tactics/bait etc having never fished there.

And please not spodcopters or bagging wagglers because I dont have any and I will not use them. I am competetive but not THAT competitive.

Skippy

I wouldn't worry Skippy. You're only there as pools fodder:wh

Skip,

My standard tactics for the last 5 years or so have been to turn up and catch less than everyone else!

But it's always a cracking day:)

Add me to the list please, Nigel.

I'll try to remember to bring the FM species cup so that we can fish for it on the day as well. Anything I catch will be a hybrid...

I'm almost tempted to take this seriously now just to prove a point.[/QUOTE]

What point Skippy? You now have second option to borrow my spodcopter if ****y feels he won't need it.........

Seriously, it's a bit like the Grand National. Unpredictable, peggy and anyone can win ..............

and Jeff has a rotten old rod he wants to unload
That's a damned good rod, a Maver MR3 13 heavy feeder, cost well over a ton when new and not that long ago either. Blimey, right picky lot from the Chalfonts :p:wh

Not at all...I have several rods more than capable of chucking a method feeder so why would I want another one ?

And if its that good why are you trying to flog it ? :w

I am bringing with me a new comer both to FM and match fishing (John), he does not have a unhooking mat and is short of one keep net (for silvers). Sorry to be cheeky but has anyone a spare that he could borrow on the day?

Could someone please advise of any rules for this venue, e.g. dont think braid is allowed?
