Trent question

Been going to different areas of the Trent for a while to fish the barbel, but recently read that the invasive aquatic species Quagga mussels were found there, apparently a big threat to UK fish and waterways and present in the Thames as well.
I occasionally take my boat up there too, so I don't want to be spreading any of these to other areas (boats are the main way they spread). Has anyone came across any guidance on this or had any experience with them, there's not much info on them out there...

Not come across this before. Why do you need a boat? You can catch barbel to your heart's content from the bank, as practically everybody else does.

Different species, similar preventative measures.

If you move between river catchments it is imperative that all parts of your boat are fully drained and cleaned and dried. But if you own a boat, you know this is practically impossible.
