Uptiding Reels

What are the pros & cons of fixed spool or multiplyer reels for uptiding,
(I use fixed spools for all my beachcasting)

there was a discussion on www.the-lounge.org.uk about it, i think they came to the conclusion that f/s was easier to cast, but that multis were easier to adjust the drag, if its a ecent f/s shouldnt be a problem

multipliers are definitely better on your finger end

Thanks Alan, found the thread most interesting, some of the comments were exactly what I wanted to know, and its either a sore finger or a burnt thumb.
