Weather mobile application for fishing?

I am a computer science student and I joined this community especially because I am looking to build a weather application (me with a small team from the university), which can be useful for fishing.

But to do this I need your help to gather some information to see if it's worth and if yes, how can I make it better.

All the question that are being ask on the link are basic weather questions that can be found on any local news station. There no thought gone into it, I for one will not be filing the form out it looks a bit iffy.
