Just to add, chub fishing is often difficult these days on the Thames, more than one fish per session would be success, trotting and feeding maggot on the bolo, or long trotting bits of flake feeding nothing at all is often successful and will pick up an odd chub at your end of the river, my best advice, ask the nearest tackle dealer to your venue...
