Eyed or spade?

I've no idea what it's supposed to do, but it does give a nice dull matt finish.

It's rare I use small hooks for more than 1 session, especially if I've caught a few, so I've never seen corrosion, a fairly slow process, as an issue.
I do agree sharp and matt are desirable characteristics,

I tend to use them on my very infrequent visits to the local commies. However, as I generally visit in winter and chase good roach on light lines, I usually prefer the F1 Maggot.

I've just been told by Daivies Angling they don't make the LWG any more, it's been replaced by Super LWG, the difference being PTFE coating.

One of the differences is that they put a near black hook in a black packet.
