Yes Ian that'll be perfect. Especialy with the nomal FM weather.
Sleet snow hurricane force winds etc.

Down to the river no problem..coming up?

I'll arrange for Mike the balliff to bring the 4x 4 and wagon.

I'll also arrange to get a key for the top car park

I think you're all being very unfair to our Skip and his seatbox, it's ridiculous to imply that it needs a van to tow it...

Considering it needs a three mile diversion setting up just to circumnavigate around it  ;) :D

Incomiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing...

What is the best footwear for the venue, my ankle still isn't right and may not be by then.

I will still be going, even if i have to wear Skippy's High Heels, ,

Oh I get it. First he lures me in with the offer of a lift then he pulls the Old Soldier routine and expects me to Sherpa his gear to his chosen swim then cart him there in a bath chair !

Dream on Clarkie !

Hahaha, :D:D.

I just wanted to know so i take the right footwear, what ever it is. I will have to strap the ankle what ever.

You won't have to Sherpa me or the gear Skippy, I won't be taking a ton of gear, and there is your helicopter to drop me and the gear to a swim anyway ;)

Ray.
If its dry, sandals.
If it's wet, boots
If it's pouring down, wellingtons.
If it's ballroom dancing, Skippys

Seriously, if anyone needs a nearby flatish swim I can save one or two.

They'll be the **** ones of course.

The banks are mainly grass with varying slopes. Most enough to roll down but generally into not more than 30 feet depth.

Added nought by mistake. 3 ft.

Unless it's got 15ft on.

All the Chinooks are busy that day but the RAF have promised to lend me a Hercules. That should just about cope with your bait and wallet.

Yes, I remember your wallet at the LIF fish in, when we went for breakfast. It's the only wallet i know that needs WD40 sprayed on it to stop the squeak when it's opened, which isn't very often by the sound of it.

As for my wallet, must remember to take the Gold Bars out before the fish in. ;):D

A couple of thing to add to my cut and paste messages.

There are some stunning pike to over 30lb if any one fancies a go. You cannot pike and barbel fish at same time though.

If anyone needs add info or accommodation info still dont hesitate.

Anyone making a couple days of it there are options of Wye bits on day ticks or local lakes where 100lb of decent quality roach rudd skimmers is not unreasonable!
The Baliff is called Mike, bear in mind hes a bit mutton. Lovely guy.

Graham, I don't possess waders so can you bag me a swim that won't need them. I would buy some but I have had no success in joining the local club, so I don't foresee the need in the near future.

Of course waders allowed. But you shouldn't really need them unless you want to get out at the top shallower end and float fish. Also some swims available on salmon croys if needed.

Quite frankly.... ( here's a challenge) you'll catch far more on the feeder.
Dont forget the bottom can be a bit rocky....

I have some that'll do a 9 -11 size if needed. .

Yes I see where my pm confused.
Every swim is available from the grass bank or a couple of croys. If its wet it can be bit slippy.

If you want to wade........whilst trotting all fine

No prawns or worms or spinning. Mags corn hemp etc all fine. You should see the odd salmon come out of the water.
Its a beautiful place to fish.
