Not too much rain forecast for february , so fingers crossed for some good conditions this year.

Guys you may be interested in the results from the Barbel Angler Fish-In on the Itchen yesterday.

Check out the link for details.

Itchen Fish-In.

Really looking forward to next week. Looks like the weather will be better than last year. I'm sure we will have a great day.

Nathan, I gather from another attendee, the 2.11 fell to your rod! Well done, a cracking fish./forum/smilies/big_smile_smiley.gif

Looks as though we might just find good conditions for our trip next Saturday (famous last words!).

Cheers Nige but it wasnt just the Grayling it was the craic too, and meetin a few peeps. I've never fished rivers you see, might have picked up a few pointers ( meaning somebody might have been kind enough to show me how the hell to go on,lol)

In fact the Wear in Durham is apparently fantastic Grayling fishing with 60lb bags not unusual !

Thanks Neil. The same attendee tells me you had a 3lb+ grayling recently? Now that's something very special, well done Neil.

Back in November from the same venue, a fish ofa lifetime. Met PJ down at Throop and he was very, very helpful. Tried to give him some tips and was pleased to hear he and his young mate were successful.

Looking forward to Saturday even though I've got a stinking cold! The anticipation of fishing the Itchen again is quite something!

Should you have another space available, the same young lad would like to come along again.

I've taken him under my wing a little as neither his parents like fishing and I'm trying my hardest to give him the opportunity to get out on a regular basis and enjoy this glorious pastime.

Looking forward to meeting you all tomorrow.

Tight lines,

Paul Martin (AKA PJ)
