This stuff is good. Big plus, it doesn't stink like some plasticine. Useful for eg barbel and chub in snaggy swims as it pulls off the line where leads would be trapped. Can squeeze direct on line, or a lump on a hairgrip makes a running ledger. Can use it in all kinds of ways, eg in place of olivette to cock big floats, little bits will pin line to the bottom when fishing for carp. Cheap and available at many art supplies stockists.

I bought some of that on Kev's recommendation a few years ago and it works really well in snaggy swims.. I usually use it on a short link. You can mould it around a shot or ledger stop and even around a short bit of the old fashioned rigid rig tube for a running ledger. I wouldn't swear to it but I seem to remember that particular company closing down. Fortunately I bought enough to see out my days,lol..

Just checked and you can still get it from the bay of thieves.
