It’s not a green Turtle like you were hoping to see in your lovely bay Mike; but; this photo is of my daughter on one of her several Turtle conservation trips to Costa Rica where she helped the Turtles and their offspring and tried to protect them from being taken by the occasional poacher and also from the seabirds after the young had hatched.

Well, the south of France is not getting the good weather....

Sally and I are in the campervan at the Tarn gorge. Yesterday was cold and rainy, those tourists on their boat trip down the river would normally enjoy 28c in late June, I think it was just 15c yesterday afternoon!
Today better, dry and 24c and the scenery is spectacular....

Tried to fish but between the canoes and tourist boats I was just not feeling it!

Good just being here 😊

A couple more photos from that beach on the river Tarn, I find it impossible to capture the sheer scale of the mountains and gorge! Some of the rocks have been shaped over time into almost human figures, most people see a mother and daughter in this rock outcrop....

and a panorama shot hardly reflects the reality......

The mountain in front of me got shrunk!

Just got a film back from the lab. They process the roll, scan it then send a link in order to download the images. These were taken using a1960's Zeiss Contarex.

Another dog walk. This time the River Glane, a tributary of the Vienne.

Fishing Cabins on the tidal River Charente. These cabins are licensed and some have been in the same family's hands for hundreds of years. They are designed to catch migratory fish, in this case eels and shad. There was a big industry along the banks of the lower Charente involved in fishing and processing fish. Shad used to be hung on wooden frames to dry in the sun like herrings.

In the middle of rural France is Flagnac. A natural amphitheatre has been used to stage an epic historical show, so amazing it draws an audience of 3000 for each of 5 nights during July and August.

My excuse for this photo is the pond, left of frame, with two guys in a punt fishing.
