Could you put me down for the fish-in/comp as a Chav on Saturday. I shall be travelling down with Dave Bourne, (my Uncle). I missed the last one because I had a nasty dose of flu.

Further revisions to numbers I am afraid... on the plus side I am still in, the car passed its MOT.... somehow !
But Matty C, whose name I sorta put forward on assumption without specifically asking him in advance has other and better things to do it seems.... my bad, oops and a big sorry.
So do I really have to be a Chav now at the age of 48 and having been an Ace on the last occasion ? Makes me feel I can understand and relate with those trout that change sex half way through life....... but the chance of two wooden spoons of different types, a matched pair of Ace and Chav spoons together, keeps me on..... /forum/smilies/smile_smiley.gif

I fished Sydicate again today and I think I got burnt by the sun!
Very warm and pleasant but not the best fishing conditions. There was even a hint of frost early this morning but by midday the skies were clear and blue.
A slow start (I think last night was probably the coldest so far) but I had a few carp up to 8lb on the Method Feeder (yes I actually caught something on the Method!). Also had a couple of bream to 3lb and some roach to 12oz on the pole down the edge but the "silvers" were few and far between.
Once again the carp came late (after 2:30pm) but they certainly fed well late afternoon. I think tomorrow's match could have an interesting last couple of hours!
See you all tomorrow.

Well my massive array of tackle is safely in the van ( i could quite easily have got it in he boot of a mini ) ,pre match nerves have set in , so i`m having the odd tipple ,having checked and rechecked my baits , ( don`t look a lot ) and getting paranoid about having an illegal bait , i`m ready for the fray ./forum/smilies/i_dont_know_smiley.gif
