A very traditional 2.14 weirpool stripey caught with a Perch bob float that belonged to my Grandad and then my dad and a big lobworm
River Derwent, caught today
This couldn’t be more similar in circumstances to old school’s lovely fish, another river perch taken just after dawn this morning on a trotted lobworm under my homemade 4AAA perch bobber and as much as I would like it to have been an ounce heavier would you believe it came in at exactly the same weight too?
That is a great fish, Neil and congratulation on beating the 3lb barrier! Absolutely staggering colouration, and for that reason alone it deserves to win the competition...
