Boundry seems like a tough nut to crack.

Both research and actual fishing wise.

Very little information about it out there on t'interweb.

It ranges from using lots of bait to using small stringers. Its a weedy venue or the owner killed the weed off, plus varying stories about submerged features and how to find them.

I don't know where to bl**din' start...

Paul,
I'm gonna try for some silvers and perch during the day then bung out some sleepers at night for carp or bream.

If it looks grim, I'll reel in and probably get bladdered

I'm also a little concerned about how open to the public it all is. Not worried about my safety - I can be scary if I need to :j

More concerned about my tackle and stuff when we're BBQing.

Baggsy the swim next to Wol.

Make that next but one, don't want him sneaking into my bivvy after dark doing his Alan Carr...!!!

When Spiders and I took the very talented Dave Thorpe there he fished it for five days and nights and blanked without seeing any sign of fish......:(

He reckoned it was harder than Yateley!!! Never mind somebody may manage one of the ten bream in there.

I have booked Graham Ed and myself in the B&B for Saturday night so please keep the noise level down chaps whilst the lovely Mildred attends to our needs as she does not like distractions. :)

Boundary Water Park

Sorry, but I can't offer any info about the fishing on Boundary in recent years, and I've only fished it about a dozen times in the past, about 10 years ago.

In the first picture below are some of the swims along the bank not far from the shop - with your back to the shop you go to the right. Opposite this bank you can see the wooded bank where some of the other half decent swims can be found. You get to these by driving past the lake and taking the first turn left and then another left turn to bring you on the road behind the swims.

I've only ever fished the water in the evenings for bream, when at the time they weighed up to about 7lb or so. Since then they've grown to low double figures. I don't know anything about the carp in there except that there is almost certainly at least one 30, and a few 20's, plus smaller fish in the teens. The water is fished by a regular band of dedicated big carp anglers; and they don't fish there week after week for nothing. It's a very hard water for both bream and carp, of that there is no doubt, but I expect someone will be pegged where the fish will feed and come up with something.

In the second picture are the swims to the left of the shop (standing with your back to it).

Then the final two pics are two of the bream we caught at the time. Not the biggest ones we caught (especially the one I'm holding!) but the only ones I have decent pictures of.

The successful baits for the bream (at that time) were the usual maggot, caster, sweetcorn and worm, fished with light leger rigs about 30 - 40yds out, or, 10mm boilies on heavier bolt rigs.

Good luck to everybody!

Me and Ed will be along on Friday evening (maybe Dave too) and then back again on Saturday morning. I don't intend to fish as I want plenty of time to chat with everybody and take photos. If I bring any tackle I won't be able to tear myself away from the rods.:)

I have just bought my Rod License today (i know, i know) anyway, i am not sure yet whether or not i am going to be fishing as yet.

What time is everyone arriving on Friday ?

Perhaps Saturday Morning would be a good time for me to come along and say hello to you all.

I look forward to seeing everyone on 1 of these days.

Crivens, I shall have to up my game from 'chancer' to 'lucky chancer' then.

Thanks for the info Graham, I'm planning on targetting the bream rather than the carp, although I shan't complain if I bank a 30lber :wh

I'm not going to be able to make the fishin this weekend. Its my own fault, as I have an exam on Monday the 19th and was hoping to have done most of the work by now, but I haven't. I have to spend this weekend revsing as I must pass this exam, after failing the last 3 times!

I have sent Wol a PM telling him, but if anyone knows someone who wants to go along and have a free fishing weekend, they are welcome to have my space and ticket.

Sorrry I cant be there and have a great time all

Ha, ha. I want to see you fairly hook a sausage from the flames using a fly rod and a Wooly ******!

Thanks for the links Ed.

Geez, they've even censored the names of legitimate flies now.

What a load of old ****.
