Boundary Water Park
Sorry, but I can't offer any info about the fishing on Boundary in recent years, and I've only fished it about a dozen times in the past, about 10 years ago.
In the first picture below are some of the swims along the bank not far from the shop - with your back to the shop you go to the right. Opposite this bank you can see the wooded bank where some of the other half decent swims can be found. You get to these by driving past the lake and taking the first turn left and then another left turn to bring you on the road behind the swims.
I've only ever fished the water in the evenings for bream, when at the time they weighed up to about 7lb or so. Since then they've grown to low double figures. I don't know anything about the carp in there except that there is almost certainly at least one 30, and a few 20's, plus smaller fish in the teens. The water is fished by a regular band of dedicated big carp anglers; and they don't fish there week after week for nothing. It's a very hard water for both bream and carp, of that there is no doubt, but I expect someone will be pegged where the fish will feed and come up with something.
In the second picture are the swims to the left of the shop (standing with your back to it).
Then the final two pics are two of the bream we caught at the time. Not the biggest ones we caught (especially the one I'm holding!) but the only ones I have decent pictures of.
The successful baits for the bream (at that time) were the usual maggot, caster, sweetcorn and worm, fished with light leger rigs about 30 - 40yds out, or, 10mm boilies on heavier bolt rigs.
Good luck to everybody!
Me and Ed will be along on Friday evening (maybe Dave too) and then back again on Saturday morning. I don't intend to fish as I want plenty of time to chat with everybody and take photos. If I bring any tackle I won't be able to tear myself away from the rods.
