After hours of Packing up and moving to a strategic position so he could get bladdered at the BBQ he pitched his tent against a Fence with Wol's Pimp Mobile on 1 side, and he parked his own car in front of his tent for maximum protection, and he goes and pitches it on top of a septic pipe ...................... priceless (i nearly choked laughing)

I nearly choked with the smell -----

It was a privillage to meet you too at last Peter and you Neil, indeed everyone far too many to name, great to catch up with Ed again, you really couldnt find a nicer bunch of lads anywhere. It was strange meeting Graham, this is the first time I have actually met him dispite probably reading everything he has ever written over the last 30 or so years, Graham was pretty much how I imagined him, a nicer bloke you couldnt wish to meet and I think it has to be remembered that Graham was a big name long before the days of PCs, FM probably being the icing on the cake of a long and successful career as a well known and respected big fish hunter, definately legend status along with Mr Bibby and that old geezer who shared the car with me. What a lovely bunch of old cults.

What an absolutely bl**dy brilliant weekend with friends old and new!

How the heck are we going to top that?

Happy retirement Graham, that was a party you won't forget in a hurry!

Many thanks to Wol for organising and Jim for my new 8lb 3oz pb bream :)

The bites just kept on coming in Jim's swim, he'd landed 12 by the time we had to leave, and lost one at the net that looked every inch a double.

Who do we email photos to for the write-up?

What can I say that hasn't already been said?

I know Graham had a great time and it was a privilage to be present at his proper retirement bash. Hats off to you Wol that was a proper BBQ and the organisation was excellant.

It was brilliant to meet the old faces again and great to meet some new ones too. Bibby is a nutter! My stomach is still hurting from laughing! You had me in stitches mate :D

I think it was 330 miles round trip, not bad and I wouldn't hesitate doing it again next year. Monk, can you bag me grounbait up and freeze it for next year please mate ;) I think I could get used to that Port and Stilton stuff, bluddy lovely :)

I think I may have dislocated my left shoulder, that BC weighs a tonne!
:D;)

What a brilliant weekend :)

Tell Jim, that the next time he wants to try out his hook hold on his Hair Rigged fake sweetcorn, perhaps not using his finger next time would be best (i bet that bloody smarted a bit).

What a great weekend , my thanks go to Wol for his excellent BBQ ,also his b1tch the Cake man and Spiders for finding such a fish filled venue ..only kidding mate it was perfect for the BBQ.
great to meet all the guys I know and some I had not met before ..Ed what a guy he is almost as mad as me and I almost had a heart attack laughing with him ,uncle Dave and all the usual suspects. all in all it was well worth the long journey not to mention scurvy, ricketts, and curvature of the spine through sleeping in a Ken Dodd diddy man tent. Good job no one come in the "wash room "when I was having a strip wash that may have taken some explaining!

I've been looking at a few shots of The Monk. Indeed a few look very sinister and I'm thinking of taking him up the Stocksbridge bypass to scare a few policemen.

I'll never forget the look on the face of one of the crowd bivvied up on the opposite bank as The Monk walked silently past him. I'm sure he was absolutely terrified but daren't show it.

Your groundbaits on its way Steve, I`ve finished emptying me cowl now, In fact I also found a few half eaten burgers in there, I knew I was sat too close to the bin. Lovely to meet you are your misses Wendi mate, although I use to go fishing to get away from mine, lol.

Must say mate you look the spitting image of that Derek Acorah geezer, glad you did exsorcise me

another famous face eh Steve, thats the trouble with us good looking guys, we get famous people trying to copy us mate, lol

Just to clear up the fishing results, what was the total caught and by who. The lake did look quite good and we had some exceptional anglers around the lake, some of the swims looks ideal for catching especially with conditions and some of the methods being used, but we didnt see many fishing moving and did spend a fair bit of time looking in all the likely spots, plenty of pictures of decent carp in the office and an ideal water for the event we had. Seemed to be a weed problems though talking to you guys.

Another one from the home, Nurse Cratchitt!!!!

Has Uncle Dave been released yet...he was a very, very naughty boy!!!

Dave phoned me this afternoon ....He'd gone into the factory for a sleep before he went home (If he'd have gone home in the condition he was in he'd have been on "Deaf and Dumb Dinners" for a month )

Great weekend, i popped in to say hello on my way home fromm work on Friday night and was witness to a lovely bream caught by Jim,

Was hoping to fish on Saturday but was feeling a bit unwell but I did turn up for the BBQ which was superb - thanks Wol.

Nice to put names to the faces and thank you to the person who thought Wombat was a guy but now realises I am NOT !
I am still recovering from laughing at Eddie B and the port and stilton initiation...... never laughed so much in all my life. The Monk was brilliant in his gear and I can quite understand why he scares people in that rig out! He looked so normal talking to me earlier.

It was lovely to met Graham and a total pleasure getting the cake made for him.

Thank you to all it was lovely meeting you.
