It was leant against my car on the passenger side in the car park and I chucked everything else in the hatch back and drove off:eek:mg:
Took ages to get home in the rush hour then ages to get back down again...
Gone...
Tackle shop visit could be expensive tomorrow.......

Bad news that Peter, easy done though bud.
I've drove down the road and when i've braked a shotgun has slid off the roof and down the road infront of me ! Left loads of different things on the car roof, fishing tackle, cartridge belts full of shells etc etc.
Leaning stuff on the side of the car is a bad move, better to keep everything leaning on the back end of the car.

I once left my wallet on the car roof after filling up. It was still there when I pulled in again at the other end of the M1: a miracle, considering the speeds involved. :)

How did you know that!! It was a single barrel baikal, cheap as chips, shoot like rifles and made to last. The only damage to that gun was scratches on the stock and a tiny dent on the lip of the barrel. Got my first one (that particular one) when I was 15 and one of my friends is still plapping with it to this day!
You can still pick them up as new for 30 notes if you want one. Manys the time i've used that gun and had two pigeons tumbling at the same time. I held a shell in right hand (i'm a lefty) and because of the underlever next to and at the back of the trigger guard I just pulled it, the barrell dropped down, the shell ejected and I slipped the new shell in and threw the barrell up as I brought the gun up to my shoulder...Clint Eastwood, eat yer ******' heart out lol.

Tackle shop this morning, chose a less expensive replacement for my SuperG which I lost yesterday. Got a Drennan 13" matchpro ultralight.
Feels nice and seems well built. May give it a try tomorrow on the canal match..

Another trip to the (Tenchless for me) local Tench lake.

You've got to admit....it looks nice. One scabbed up snotty of around 5lb before hometime.

A wet soggy day today on the scenic Wendover arm of the GUC.

Drew the "gusher" peg which can on its day be a flyer but not today.
Tried every thing, magg, caster, worm and punch. Laid on, shallow, and just off bottom but all I could catch were perch and they were mainly small.
This was the only one that worried my no2 elastic....

Weighed in 1lb:3 for nowhere...
Hey ho, at least I didn't lose anything today:wh

Re-spooled the pin ready for next week and decided to give it a spin on a local pool today. Managed more than six casts this time but it still p1zzed down for best part of the session. Finished up with 13 Tench, the biggest only about a pound, it nearly did me in the reeds and at twice the weight, I think I'd have lost it. Also had a small Carp, three Perch, a dozen small Rudd and a Crucian that went about 12 oz, not very big but a real bonus as I didn't know there were any in the pool:) Roll on Thursday:D

Well I never! Just checked face book club page and someone I know found my rod today? It was leant against a tree. It certainly wasn't there when I went back Friday night?
Happy days..

Good news about the rod, Simon. You'll have to take that Ultralight back now !

I had an afternoon on the GUC with a dropshotting rod. Dunno why I bothered. I had one tap and the smallest pike I think I've ever had. Even smaller than Neil's . I can't believe there aren't any little perch in there willing to have a peck.

I've come to the conclusion that so far as dropshotting goes either I'm rubbish or it is. I am minded to think I've fallen for a clever marketing ploy like an absolute kipper.

Well had a small job to do down the pool today so headed off to do that guess what GOT WET was not appy but still job completed .

I decieded to by myself a 3 meter Sensas Classic tele whip yesterday almost broke the bank (£5.99) , any how had a play with it once the rain backed out a little and good fun had a ruck of nice Crucians and big Roach along with the usual hoard of small skimmers ect .

I can see i will be using that whip a lot more on there very easy to use might even get me a somewhat bigger version maybe the 5 meter one .

It seemed like using a very small pole float on the whip made it hard for the Crus to detect so they attacked the bait very boldly .

I reckon all those big perch in the Savage Gear clips were caught on worm and had a drop shot lure impaled in 'em before being released and re-filming the landing :D
