Bass are being caught around Thanet Mark, and a chap had some mackerel from a boat just off Margate!

Tried a different lake at the club this morning. Arranged to meet my brother at 8 but got up early due to the usual pre fishing excitement. So was there by 7:15 had a wander round and picked a couple of swims I liked the look of. But by the time big bro had turned up 1 had been taken. So we moved to a different part which looked reasonable. I was fishing bits of sweetcorn on the float and pellet on the feeder. Float straight out in front and feeder to my right at the edge of an overhanging tree.
Nothing on the feeder apart from a missed run. Managed 2 bream between 2 & 3lb on the float followed by a 2 more of similar size after I switched the float for my swingtip rod.
Brother had just 1 rather nice roach about 12oz+

Well, I finally had the day. The day I dream about, the day I always see others have and wonder where I am "going wrong"

8mm Bandum's and a 24gm hybrid feeder on the Quivertip and a total of 11 carp. My first ever carp, my first ever mirror, then my first ever double!

Cheers all! Just felt nice to translate everything I've tried to learn into something tangible. I'd have been happy with one, eleven was a pipe dream never mind a double. Baby steps still, ill always be happy just to catch

Another cracking afternoon/evening session. A minor fly in the ointment being that my phone packed up after three fish. Ended up with eight tench from 3lb 8oz to a new PB at 6lb 6oz. The others were three at 4lb+ and three at 5lb+

Pound for pound, pretty well. I thought the six pounder was a 10lb+ carp for a while.

I have found that green tench fight a lot harder than golden tench of the same size,
I thought it was down to one particular water I fished, but noticed it on two other waters as well
