Just got back from me hols, do we know if there are any rooms left?

I will get onto it tomorrow, I hope we can all stay together.

With ref to the Match/Fish-in. I think it would be nice if we(FM)could mark the occasion with a memorial trophy for John.
I don't want to step on your toes Mick, but it would be a nice way of remembering John every year.

I don't know weather to book up two nights or drive up very early Saturday morning and stay over Saturday night, it depends how long it takes to get there from Bristol.

Steve, driving to the speed limit id say your looking at about 4hrs, less than 3hrs possible at the time of morning you'll be traveling

(I did Bristol M5 to home in Sheffiel last saturday in about 4- 4 1/2 hour with two stops and very bad trafic)



edit: if you stick an hour onto the time it takes you to get to collinham you'll be more than covered.

I did the Trent to Bristol in 2hrs 40mins, but it was very late at night. I think I will drive up early Sat morning and stay Sat night.

Thought it was time for a bit of an update seeing as its getting nearer

Ive just spoken to Kev and everythings still ok regarding the booking. Unfortunately theyve still not the upstream section and this wont change now this year, no problem though.

Fishing wise he tells me its been crap over the last few weeks, the club matches have been won with the odd jammy bream with most only managing a pound or so of micro roach and bleak

I think thngs will change though, as i had a few hours last saturday on a banker peg on the upper river and blanked, hopefully this means theyve started moving down river to the deeper parts.

I cant spare the time to go and fish it over the next couple of weekends, but will be going down throughout november.

seems like thats the case all over Bryan as far as rivers/roach are concerned.

What with the floods, no real summer, temperatures like a yo-yo all season, its been hit and miss everywhere
