Yes, it was a good idea Fred, and it does show that we do listen to what our members want and try to do something about it if enough of them want it.

Brief description of session: No bites 'til last hour found the culprits of previous worm strips,4 Perch to half pound.

Method: Various spinners and Plugs.
Tackle: Harrison 1.12. 30Ib braid main line

Started from the southern end and worked each swim from in the water(Brrrrr).
Ended the day with 8 fish, but only 1 made double figures. All the fish came from a bay at the northern end of the lake.

Method .......... Quiver tip fitted with "Starlite" + Feeder, sweetcron/bread on hook
Results ......... 4lb Hybrid

Used 3kg of ground bait + 1.5 tins of sweetcorn. The fish came to a drop back bite which is unusual as these Hybrids generally take your rod off the rod rest.

Results .........2 bites, 1 chub (3-10)
Difficult day due to wind. Didn't catch in the usual swims but was chuffed when tip went round for the only chub. Caught next to a near bank bush no more than 2ft from rod tip.

Water Conditions...Up a little, fairly clear
Method.....Maggot feeder on one rod and lobs or meat on second rod down the edge
Result.........Blank
Brief description....Missed a couple of chubby bites on maggot but in the conditions I was only really looking for self hookers,the rods were dancing around all over the place.Saw one barbel head and shoulder under the rod tip and offered it a lob upstream but to no avail.I'll be back though.

Brief description of the session.Nothing from 8am to 4.45pm then moved to a shallow gravel swim near confluence having fished deeper glides all day.I would like to put it down to superb water craft but the swim was simply nearer to the car ! No bites in the margins near fallen tree but bite first chuck right down the middle.Had to go at six to get to dinner party , typical !.

Totally dfferent to Friday. Fished the same swims for diddly squat. No answer to why, things looked better this time round than on Friday. Ah well.

Brief description....Fished the same swim as y'day,tried cheesepaste round the boilie at 18.00 had a couple of plucks,felt like eels no other bites.

Method.......Straight ledger with meat and
paste and q/tip swimfeeder
with maggot.
Results......One small barbel,2 chub,2
grayling.
Brief Desc...Had fished the day before and blanked apart from some quick pulls on meat that I put down to chub.First cast in a swim I had tried Sunday I had another small pull which I hit and surprisingly found myself attached to a barbel.Only a small one but the first of the year.Water temp had risen 4degrees F overnight.

Brief description...Two anglers fished from 10.00. til 16.00. biteless. Big Rik was there when I arrived and another friend of mine arrived before I had set up,we all fished different methods in different swims over about 250 yds of riverand all blanked,come on little fishes you ain't playing the game!
