I have been down to my local Aldi, and they have a pile of the fishing chairs they were offering a month or so ago now reduced to £14.9 each.

Thanks John, I ordered one of those, for £3.50 INCLUDING POSTAGE! I just had to have a go. The thing that tempted me was the claim that it has a waterproof bottom panel making it ideal for a roving bag on a day-trip.

Ralph.

I thought a good bargain would bring you out the woodwork Ralph! Hope to see you roving soon.

It is going to be three months until we will be able to rove the Great Stour but I am off to Monk Lakes on Tuesday with my brother - first time he and I have fished together for over a year! You are welcome to join us if you fancy a commercial. We plan to fish Bridges Lake.

As for bringing me out for a bargain, that price for a bag is insane. That is only 10p more than I have to pay (London prices - Grrr!) for a pint of maggots!

That bag is indeed a bargain but I have a few like it! It could be used for many purposes though at a cost of a pint!

I can't wait three months Ralph! Soon as the weather warms a little I'm going to start exploring the Royal Military Canal in search of a few predators.

Thanks for the offer but the idea of a commie doesn't appeal and in a most likely 7 degrees it appeals even less. Hope you have a good day with bruv.

I have just seen this and ordered one. I can't help wonder if the price was wrong and they will withdraw the sale?????

......and legally they are entitled to do so!

Reminds me of when shopping at Tescos with my good lady. A cleaning product which she uses was marked up at 16p instead of £1.60p. Well it would have been rude not to take advantage .......in bulk.:wh

Back to the padded holdall, I did wonder if it was just a sales ploy to get a customer data base for adverts?

I ordered one, too. Looked big enough to put some of my other unused bags in.

Hmmm... I had not thought of that. There are parts of the RMC that operate a closed season, but I'm not sure which sections they are.

Fishing republic seem to be getting rid of a lot of Theseus tackle cheap a lately. In store they had Theseus pole rigs for 11p each. Maybe there bringing a new range of tackle out and want to get rid of the old range first?

Ralph.

All sections are open. I'm only interested in the one section where lure fishing is allowed with day tickets available on the bank for a fiver.

If you look down the page it's priced at £34-99 something not right here.

You may be right but my Paypal site which I use has charged the £3.50 price so nothing much to lose as they will refund the money if there is any hanky panky.
