Only managed to get out yesterday for about 4 hours and blanked.
Went back today and fished a different stretch this afternoon that I have been keeping my eye on.

ROLL on summer.......................
Banked 2 Commons for the afternoon.

That second common looks like a right lump, lovely colours on it too.

I've brought some pre-prepared parti's with me into work, i'll be baiting up on my way home tonight with the hope of getting out either tomorrow or sunday. Im thinking maize on one rod & a chickpea on the other - both over a sprinkling of hemp.

I was just wondering - would anyone be able to give me a hand with my write up (i.e. reviewing it, making sure it reads properly etc)..........?

Nathan,

What stunning fish (all of them)!

I'm sure Geoff or Jeff can help you with the write-up though just work on the basis of starting at the beginning and work through to the end - stick to about 1000 words and don't embed the pics.

I'm going to make a start this week, hopefully it wont take too long. Once i've got a first draft i'll see how it looks then when Jeff/Geoff review it hopefully it can be added as an article.

Cracking fish there Nathan.
Weldone man.

Had my 20 pounder today, banked 7 Carp in total.
That's me then done for this Challenge, need to get things sorted for my Syndicate soon.

Lovely Zip that one Gert, there's a couple in one of the lakes I fish that I'm after.

The bottom one look's a bit Basil-y, shame about the missing scale.

Cheers Guys.

Yes Frothey the Scale I first thought was maybe with the fight with me, but on closer inspection it seemed not to be, pity though like you say.
I sometimes find that Canal Carp can look a bit on the rough side sometimes, but between them there are a couple of real stunners.

I have to say I was well pleased on the Bank with that Linear, my first in England.
And after the photo's I actually just started laughing because of feeling real good after that fish.
A proper Stunner!!

Derbyshire: best beer, best cheese, best puddings.
Anybody know of a day ticket stretch of canal around south Derbyshire, Long Eaton areas?

There's lots of canal here to fish but as far as I know it's all club ticket water and I'll not have a club ticket until June.

Some cracking looking fish by the way, I'm quite into this challenge although I feel I may be at a slight disadvantage through lack of local canal knowledge.
