Had a couple of goes now and had a big fat zero! The Oxford canal is always a bit slow to start, well that's my excuse anyway!

I'll have a go. Pity the pictures have gone from the earlier posts, I will be trying the GUC where GertR and Nathan did well last year.

Don't know the GU very well but if it's anything like the Oxford I don't expect to see many Carp out till May. I have no idea why this should be but the pound where I moor never gets going till then. But I keep trying.

Carp challenge

A local bailiff assures me there are carps on Dudley No.2 Cut:wh
(break out the spod and the munga mix:rolleyes:)
I'm in

I'm sure a forty pounder was pulled out of the wyrley , by Pelsall common - think it made the Angling Times too.

5 pound a year to fish by the finger post - cracking value

re

Ben,
Is there a web site or is it tackle shop/bankside

you can pay on the bank but you have to be careful as the one bit thats a cul de sac in the canal is a SSSI so there is a closed season its the bit where the boat yard is - I think I know where their forum web site is and it has a phone number on
