Enjoying our short stay at caer beris hotel.
River up and coloured and pushing through so very difficult.
Pleased to catch my first Irfon grayling of about a pound plus a few mini brownies..so sweet.
Fished (allowed) just 3 hours. Hopefully also some water getting into LIF for our visit.

started fishing at 11.00am and left at 3.30 pm.
are you on one of the Bob James fishing courses
Horrible weather today! Severe squalls every half hour or do. Positives were that my new brolly, a thermal beanie hat, a snood and a hand warmer made all the difference and kept me warm and dry. The negative was only two bream all day and then in the last hour. Mind you nobody did much better. It was very muddy as well
I nearly didn't go and only started fishing at 11.00am and left at 3.30 pm. Enjoyed it though particularly because the correct kit made such a difference and will enable me to fish all winter. Just need a decent bib and brace/ thermal suit/ waterproof suit and I'm sorted .
Finally broke the drought.... a very obliging smallish but welcome rainbow took a sunken royal stimulator. Been a very long time since i caught anything the cold winds have made my sessions very short.Hopefully the weather will keep warming up seems to make the fish a bit more active....
