Open ended with pellet, short hook length, build up for first hour then leave it out there longer.... watch the tip go round....!

Whilst that is happening, feed inside line with hemp, fish caster!

Works every time........... in practice!

:D

fished very hard yesturday (sunday)
i had 6 carp averaging 6lbs a peice and 3 proper bream at 3lbs each
i fished the sinker all day by the way
a Clattercote regular who fished 4 pegs away caught 7 or 8 skimmers but didnt catch a carp.the guy on the peg nearest me im sure blanked(i was on peg 15)
all the bream had spawning tubicles on their heads and in the shallows under the willow trees there were pike spawning
the pegs from me 15 to the late 20s fished the best from what i could make out
the baliff has cut back some of the willows so that all pegs are fishable now
hopefully the weather will improve things alot by the 17th

List as per previous post.

The pub have confirmed arrangements for breakfast and are happy to accomodate us afterwards for the presentation.

Has anyone tracked the trophy down yet? Hopefully Stu can make it.

If anyone wants to join us, please post and I'll add you to the list.

Went up to Clattercote today. Warm, and a breeze coming off the dam wall.
Got there about 11 30 and set up pole and feeder rod on peg 11. Started on the feeder and got no bites on pellet.
Tried the pole at 9m and immediately started catching quality roach. I lost count how many but it kept me busy until the bites petered out.
Some of these roach were approaching 1lb 10 oz I was in heaven until they too petered out. Back on the feeder and a big wrap round, yet another big roach.
No skimmers or carp at all. But hey, roach like that don't turn up every day. Shame it's 60 miles from home or I'd be up there more often....

Is anyone else thinking of perhaps going up the day before and staying at the pub overnight for a nice fresh start on the Saturday ? I'm never very good at 5 am mornings + two hours drive + low blood sugar = sleeping :wh

Cos if so it would save us both a tenner each to share a twin room.... a single is £45, a twin £70.... and breakfast is included for a further saving of the usual fiver or whatever it is otherwise :D

Requests to share a double as opposed to a twin will only be considered on merit .

Thank you for posting that picture, ****y, my life was incomplete as I'd lost the original with the changeover. :D

You all think he was sleeping don't you.

Well, I've seen the blueprints and he was actually 'field testing' (thats the in phrase, right?) his new bite alarm system.

The rod butt that is out over the end of the boards is actually connected to his knackers, upon a bite the rod shudders, knackers are stimulated resulting in a fierce involuntary jerk of the leg thereby striking into biting fish.

The involuntary leg jerk forces the cap over the eyes to be dislodged and the solar energy stimulates eyes to the wide open position allowing the angler to play the fish to the waiting (but poorly located) landing net.

Tickle Tart Tackle already have the patent.

Thank goodness for that photograph, I'd thought it was lost....

It's that fat ******* that stole my clothes and fishing tackle in the car park, leaving me naked and shivering in the loos for five hours while the lazy swine slept on the boards...

That's my story and I'm sticking to it. For now, unless and until I think up a better story !

So does no one fancy sharing a room with me at the pub ?

It's not the rumours about the bloke who died because of the toxic shock from my gaseous farts is it ? Vastly exaggerated, I was on the cabbage diet at the time....
