My apologies. I thought with all the frenzied activity on the thread it was imminent.
Nah, and they make rather poor canoe paddles too . . . . .

Its my birthday prezzie! its a long old haul over to the Itchen..... Night in the car and a day on the Dorset Stour to follow....
V Excited
No......we're just getting a bit excited is all. Wait till the day before !
I hope you have decided what species count and what don't by then
p.s. You'd have been proud of me yesterday. One of the roach I caught was only about 2" long and just as I opened my hand to release it back in the river I suddenly though; "zander bait!" Of course I was too late. It had gone.
Then half an hour later I did it again
2" I'd have got 3 baits out of that !
OK, for anyone that hasn't fished the LIF before THIS is the entrance that you're looking for - keep to the right hand side of the 'Gaters Mill' sign and drive past the mill that you can see in the picture (about 100 yds) and you're in the car park.
Look forward to seeing you all on Sunday 16th...........

The normal route for anglers into the car park is over the bridge that is on the LEFT hand side of the Gaters Mill sign, this route takes you past the keepers cottage, under the archway and into the carpark everyone used last year.
There have been a few complaints from residents in the past about using the right hand route, so please use the route noted above.
Tight lines.
Oops, thanks Peter - don't know what came over me getting my rights and lefts mixed up
Sounds like an Arsenal defence coach Jerry
Any feed back on river conditions ?
Mick told me that it is fishing very well at the moment but then this recent rain may affect the conditions . . . . . . . . . .
Met office is predicting some pretty heavy rain for this week.
