Just my spin on the previous discussion.

I will try and land every fish I hook. Its part of the challenge in my view.

But each to their own. Mind you im currently nursing sore cut fingers after about 30 brownies to 6lb on the Test whilst trying for roach (1.14 best)

Nah, and they make rather poor canoe paddles too . . . . .

I don't need paddles.

With Two Twin engined Turbo 250 HP Mercury outboards, my canoe goes anywhere,

No......we're just getting a bit excited is all. Wait till the day before !

I hope you have decided what species count and what don't by then :D

p.s. You'd have been proud of me yesterday. One of the roach I caught was only about 2" long and just as I opened my hand to release it back in the river I suddenly though; "zander bait!" Of course I was too late. It had gone.

Then half an hour later I did it again

Latest forecast seems to indicate sunshine and light showers.

Historically it'll probably be. Hurricane force winds. Sleet changing to snow.

I don't think I'll ever be as wet through as time before last!

OK, for anyone that hasn't fished the LIF before THIS is the entrance that you're looking for - keep to the LEFT hand side of the 'Gaters Mill' sign and drive past the mill that you can see in the picture (about 100 yds) and you're in the car park.

Look forward to seeing you all on Sunday 16th...........

The normal route for anglers into the car park is over the bridge that is on the LEFT hand side of the Gaters Mill sign, this route takes you past the keepers cottage, under the archway and into the carpark everyone used last year.

There have been a few complaints from residents in the past about using the right hand route, so please use the route noted above.

Tight lines.

Oops, thanks Peter - don't know what came over me getting my rights and lefts mixed up. Wondered why I couldn't see the arch in the pic...........
