Last carp of that size in the LIF became a meal for an Otter :D

Far better being eaten by self supporting four legged English wildlife than two legged financial migrants.

Quite a few remaining down in the 'bread basket' by all accounts.

Okay.

I have Sunday December 12th Booked for FishingMagic.

As I have to pay with the confirmation can we confirm the 12 anglers?

We can fit a few more in as the fishery takes 20 quite easily . . . . . . .

I will need to confirm pretty quickly so please let me know a.s.a.p.

Right, just confirmed with LIF for December 1st for 12 anglers at £25.50 each, and have paid in full to secure the booking.

I would prefer cash on the day if possible and if I cannot make it there then please give the money to Neil.

Tight lines.

Peter, thanks for your usual efficiency. Pleased to confirm both Jimmy and I will be in attendance. If you'd like payment beforehand I'm happy to Paypal or send cheque. Hope to see you there.

It is fine to pay-on-the-day to either myself or to Neil.

Those going so far then:

Jerry (Barbelboi)
Ian (Itsfishingnotcatching)
Paul (PoshPaul)
Simon (Peter Crabtree)
Graham
Rog & Jimmy Hill

That's 7 so far then, so we have 5 places maximum remaining . . . . . .

When I spoke to Lyndsay she said that a group fishing yesterday had 10 different species in the day . . . . . so remember it is not just the Grayling to go for

Confirmed so far . . . . . .

1. Jerry (Barbelboi)
2. Ian (Itsfishingnotcatching)
3. Paul (PoshPaul)
4. Simon (Peter Crabtree)
5. Graham
6 & 7 Rog & Jimmy Hill
8 & 9 S-Kippy and Big Phil
10 Neil
11. Windy (Jonah)

That leaves us with just 1 spare place for anyone else who fancies a day on the Itchen - getting soaked to the skin if Jonah turns up . . . .

Can we play guess the 10?

Minnow, Grayling, Roach, Chub, Barbel, Trout (could be 2 or 3 there?) Dace,
Gudgeon, Barbel, Perch?

Graham

Plus the odd Carp down in what I call the "House Pool" below the little weir to your left as you drive onto the fishery.

I've seen Pike caught in there too over the years that we have fished there.

As you plan your day please remember that for the whole of the River Test and the River Itchen there are only two riparian owners prepared to allow coarse anglers onto their property.

Go for a very nice day beside the one of the rarest examples of a Chalkstream river system in Europe and enjoy the fish whatever their size they are all beautiful.

Please leave the numbers out of it, that's for the 'name in the comic' publicity seekers.
