"Outraged of Bucks" is it now S-Kippy, Diawa using double handles?:D

On the basis that I was the VERY FIRST to reply to Jerry then "outraged" is a reasonable position to take. Anyway...outraged is my default position and I'm terribly good at it.

Double handles be damned. The Itchen demands nobbut the finest of centrepins.

Now tell me that your pin doesn't have a double handle................:D

With the sleet snow and gale force wind expected, it's probably wise to fit a line guard to that cotton reel.

Graham.

Count me in, please - young Peter Crabtree has offered to drive me. In honour of the occasion he will be wearing his shorts, school cap and gumboots.
Will there be cake and lashings of ginger beer?

Yep, I took an uneasy look at the mass of holly berries at the farm pond on Tuesday - good job I don't believe in those 'old wives' tales............:wh

Yesterday I saw 2 red kites flying anti-clockwise over my house...nothing to do with the weather, just thought I'd mention it...

Good call, Cralussos work very well on this fishery.

Ginger beer, yes every time until the frosts start them its hot coffee with 'a dash' and ginger biccies!

Plus there is always the Swan if things get really desperate :eek:mg:

Well if that is not a treasonable offence then it bloody well ought to be. He could sing a bit though.

Yes I must admit to feeling a bit guilty when I first gave one a swim, deliberately hiding it when the keeper came along, now Im much more comfortable, especially when I can hold 'off' perfectly to account for a big lady!

Just as I discarded cane for carbon so the end maybe in sight for the quill and balsa.

Progress, progress, progress, the only way is forward.

Jerry,

I have paid for the original 12, but I think we can go to 13 or 14 as there is only one other angler booked in for that day. The others can probably pay on the day.

If it gets to more than say, 15 then it can get a little "tight" for swims

Oh My God....13 and one of them is Windy. Start building an Ark Jerry !:eek:mg:

You've seen the film "Evan Almighty" ? :wh

Sadly for you all I am definitely OK for the 1st..... just got to decide what weather disaster it should be this time.
Torrential rain ? tick, done it.
Driving snow and hail ? tick.
Hurricane force gale of wind ? tick.
Sub -15 freezing temperatures ? tick.

Running out of inspiration here, about all that is left is burning sunshine and sunstroke.

Impossible you think ?

Not with my reputation it ain't mateys, not with my rep :eek:mg:.

Peter, will Lindsay be allowing fishing on the top section this year? I know we've had permission as a group some time back, but I've never been allowed when fishing in one's and two's.
