Size 500?

I have one but there's a tiny bit of give when you put the anti-reverse on, in other words you can 'clunk' it back a mm before it stops going back. Doesn't really matter but i noticed none of my better reels do this.

Oh, in my experience any braid thicker than 10lb won't behave brilliantly on a tiny reel, mono forget it.

Its a 6lb braid. The clunking before the anti reverse engages seemed the norm yesteryear if I remember correctly. It will do to try things out then later I will get a better reel and a better quality braid when I figure things out. Still at the trying stage.
I am hoping the weather forecast is correct and its getting cool enough to tramp the out of the way places without frying ones nuts.

PS 500 seems the right way to describe the size. My hands are not small but not gorilla size nas the picture would otherwise suggest.:eek:mg:

That reel looks as though it might be quite nice to use on a light drop-shot rod when your fishing at relatively close range and using 6lb or 7lb braid.

It should balance quite well with a light drop-shot or spinning rod

Absolutely Keith. Could also stick it on a telescopic for an ultralite LRF travel kit, nice bit of seaside, chippy, pub, summer bliss.

My bank (Lloyd’s) has a lot of donated books, on the end of the counter, to sell for charity for a donation of £1 and I got this...

That should be entitled the usless angler. The videos of him angling that i've seen shows him as being one of the worst anglers i've ever seen!
If you follow his advice you'll have a long list of blanks lol.

I have been using Korum Line Saver Beads for helicopter style setups which I have found split easily when pulling the thing from the wire loop. Cheap they aint!

I saw on the Bay tulip beads advertised. I bought some. They are better than the Korum ones. They do not grip the line but that is rectified by a rubber bead below threaded across ways.

Now the bargain bit. The beads were advertised as 100 for £1.68 included postage.
The seller must be arithmetically challenged as it then went on to say "6 packets of 10"
When the package arrived it contained 12 packets of 10.

Even my poor arithmetic can see thats wrong.

PS. The package was wrongly addressed to my next door neighbours address, the house number being wrong.
The advert "should have gone to specsavers" seems apt.

That chair looks great, but at 110kg, I'm not sure about it's portability!

Hopefully this is just a typo

Maximum Weight:

110kg

Looks like a decent chair for that price .

They have that chair on ebay, surplus stock for a multi chain, they list the weight as 4.22kg, its also £10 more expensive on ebay.

Are folks having a laugh here? The 110Kg is the maximum rating of the chair, not the weight of it. i.e. it can cope with a seventeen stone person plonking their backside on it.
