If anyone looking at boots - fishing or otherwise - Amazon have some very good prices on Merrel Moab Goretex lined boots. These are normally £100+ but can be had for £70odd. I’ve had a few pairs of these & like them a lot, comfy straight out of the box…..

I bought a pair of Grub 8.5 Snowline boots, about a month ago and they seem pretty good. I paid £89 for them from a company called Charlies. I bought them on-line I’ve worn them a couple of times and they seem pretty good. The company were good to deal with too. Sone of the venues I fish get rather muddy, so I prefer a wellington boot for the wetter months.

There’s a Penrose platform with handles & single wheel kit on flea bay for £50 collected from Grimsby. Great price but too far for me.

As my Kevin Nash Zero Tolerance Hoodie Fleece has just about given up the ghost after 20years sterling service I have been looking for a replacement. I chanced across a Baerskin 3.0 Hoodie which was being retailed for £79.99 discounted price. The product arrived after a week and first impressions are it's a nice bit of kit it ticks the boxes plenty of pockets warm and good length. Anyone looking for a new fleece may like to check out one of these.

I got the softshell jacket a couple of years ago in black . Brilliant buy . Also the tackle pouch but I think the earlier models were a better design .
I know a few who bought the neoprene wellies and swear by them .
Pity they are not doing the bin n brace outfits anymore .

That rang a bell. So I went out to No.2 shed. Just as I thought. An unused Aldi bib n brace, bought mail-order on a rec from here a couple of years ago. It's not a bad fit (I've another bib n brace where the zip finishes so high you'd have to have porn-star equipment to get up, over and out to take a leak) but the material is the kind of shiny nylon where anything you put on your leg - your hand, your arm, your rod- just slides off straight away. It feels like if you sat down you'd slip off your box. Who says nobody reviews stuff on here lol.

It may have been me who recommended the Aldi bib n brace .
I fished with a few lads who bought them , they said as good as most others on the market ,

I went out and bought three of the small fishing shoulder bags when they came out a couple of seasons ago which I still use when I’m fishing light; and they only cost me around a tenner each.

Their new smaller Tackle Pouch might be ideal for when I’m drop shotting; but I’ll have a look when they come in; plus I might get one of their fishing hoodies too.

It's only my opinion, Mark, but I don't get on with shiny, slippy materials in clothes. The padding makes them very bulky too, to wear and to carry around. They don't break the bank, so no big loss.

I bought one it I found it bit to tight . So returned it , stayed with my DF12 for summer and DF30 for winter .
No padding in these .

I bought a waterproof coat from Lidl 2 weeks ago for £24.99 and I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised how good the quality is. I bought the trousers as well but the legs were aboput a foot too long so they went back. A refund was very easy

Both Gordon and I have the Crane jacket and bib and brace from Aldi and they are excellent value and well made . I would definitely buy another set if and when they wear out. The trousers are too long but then I’m short in the leg. They have a zip on each leg so shortening them isn’t really on.
