Aldi currently have some good head torches for the princely sum of £4.99.

I've not tried one myself but one of the lads at work turned up with one this morning and I couldn't fault it for the money.

I visited Chapmans at Scunthorpe this morning to take advantage of a pair of Shakey agility twelve foot feeder rods that will come in very handy for my silverfish outings on the lower trent in wintertime.
At £25 each they were a steal that was supplemented with three differant size tips.
Even more came my way when paying as because I had spent £50 I was given a £5 voucher for my next visit.
Furthermore we (shmbo) paid a visit to Marks and Spencers on the town outskirts that we can now tick off as visited, London, Nottingham, Sheffield Barcelona, Valletta, and today 5he cherry on the cake --- Scunthorpe !! :)

In an effort to cut down on plastic packaging waste, Laguna will no longer supply this product in tubs from 1st January 2018 onwards. Instead, we will supply the liquid using less bulk plastic material in reusable pouches - for transferring into any suitable leak-proof storage container at home.

*This method of supply (less bulk) results in a massive saving of £3 off the original purchase price!

I could do with a bargain! January is an expensive month as the cars need insuring, taxing and servicing! Might try Aldi next week:)

Made the mistake of going into Go Outdoors for a break from the wind and rain.
Came out with another lure rod at 60% off. It felt just good to put down and leave there.

So you bought the rod and came out with it Steve or did you leave it there?

For a moment I thought the same Mile but I think it's just a case of a missing "to" in the last sentence.

I was tempted to ask what rod it was but I've resisted.:D

Yes I own another Savage Gear lure rod.

Hi, I bought one of those, Steve. 8'3" Soft Lure. Nice, fine tip. I have no intention of lure fishing - I've tried it and my snag-finding skills are unbelievable - but it has become my go-to jungle brook float rod. Very nicely finished, and good quality rings, too.
