You only need big hairy lures - none of this delicate stuff /forum/smilies/big_smile_smiley.gif

Well Bryan there is a distinct difference between skill and luck! Having said that, although he is a one trick pony, if the going is good he's worth a punt.

I see that the weather up here is delivering traditional bank holiday precipitation....having never ever chucked a fluff in anger is this to my advantage??????

See you there tomorrow

Just going to get sorted and load the car up for tomorrow.

Weather supposed to be okay. Only wish I could find my FishingMagic baseball cap/forum/smilies/confused_smiley.gif.

Poshpaul, there's no need to be angry with fluff chucking, just frustrated.

See you tomorrow.

Nice one Neil.

Just loaded up the car. I will be bringing, if anyone interested:

Preston 10 tube rod holdall.

Midwater Luggage (big enough to sleep in) rod holdall.

Preditor large landing net.

Mukluk size 9 chest waders.

Mukluk size 9 thigh waders.

Sumo (small) Foam Bug Box with some beadhead flies.

I don't want any money for these, but if feeling generous please send any money as donation toCakey for his Diabetes Charity.

Really good day was had, my dad caught more trout today than he's caught in every fly session hes had so far. All that on a fly he picked out of a hedge, talk about finding the right pattern!

Thanks especially to Chavand'er for helping me with some tackle problems.

You'll be seeing me at future fish ins for certain! /forum/smilies/big_smile_smiley.gif

Great day - caught but did not land 2 trout in the match -but found a bright orange fly in a tree

I stayed after the match for some much needed practice and continued to blank till I put on the orange fly - caught and landed a rainbow3rd cast and lost one soon after that.

Great to meet up with those I'd met before and to meet some for the forst time - if your not sure who I was - I was the chap with the Newzeland rubgy shirt on - fly waistcoat and green trousers covered in carp slime/forum/smilies/smile_smiley.gif
